JUSTEP concluded another successful appearance at Design Shanghai 2020, bringing its latest staircase concepts and design thinking to one of China’s leading design events.
Over four days, the exhibition brought together architects, interior designers, design studios, and industry professionals from Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, and other cities.
For JUSTEP, the event was more than a product showcase. It was also a reminder of the company’s long-standing commitment to the staircase industry and to the design community it has worked with for many years.

A Long-Term Commitment to the Industry
JUSTEP has participated in major design and industry exhibitions for many years.
More than a decade earlier, the company presented one of its largest exhibition spaces at a major Shanghai industry event, covering nearly 500 square meters.
At the time, when asked why JUSTEP continued to invest so heavily in exhibitions, the answer was simple: to show that the company was still moving forward.
Years later, that idea has taken on a deeper meaning.
While the staircase industry has changed significantly, JUSTEP has continued to invest in design, manufacturing, exhibitions, and long-term relationships with architects and designers.

Reconnecting with Designers in a Challenging Year
The 2020 exhibition took place during an unusual period for the design industry.
Travel restrictions and the impact of COVID-19 prevented some design teams from attending in person, but many architects and designers from Shanghai and other major cities still visited the event.
For the JUSTEP team, one of the most meaningful parts of the show was reconnecting with designers and clients who had worked with the company many years earlier.
Some had not met the JUSTEP team in person for a long time, yet the relationships and trust built through previous projects remained strong.

The pandemic also accelerated a new way of working.
During 2020, many staircase projects were discussed and developed remotely through digital communication platforms. This allowed JUSTEP to reconnect with long-term customers while continuing to support new projects despite limited face-to-face meetings.
Some clients who had purchased early-generation JUSTEP staircase products years earlier also returned to explore the company’s latest custom staircase solutions.
For JUSTEP, these returning customers were a strong reminder that long-term product quality and trust can continue to create value many years after a project is completed.
Looking Ahead
Following Design Shanghai 2020, JUSTEP began planning for the next edition of the exhibition, with the goal of creating a larger and more integrated presentation.
The company plans to further connect staircase design, engineering, manufacturing, and related design resources to provide architects, designers, and clients with more complete custom staircase solutions.

For JUSTEP, exhibitions are not only about presenting new products.
They are an opportunity to meet old partners, discover new ideas, and continue building relationships with the international design community.
See you at the next Design Shanghai.
